Pheonix Asprey and Aleksa Bijelic have been named the Moxies Players of the Month for the first month of competitions.

Pheonix Asprey - Women's Cross-Country Running

With three top-5 finishes in her first three races, Pheonix Asprey has firmly established herself as the leading rookie runner in the ACAC this season. Her consistent performances earned her the ACAC Female Rookie of the Year title and helped the Rattlers secure the Women’s Team Silver Medal at the ACAC Championships.

Asprey’s dedication and drive have helped her team qualify for the CCAA National Championships, where they will represent the Medicine Hat College Rattlers among Canada’s best collegiate runners. Coach Bill Corcoran shared that “Pheonix is a hard worker and a great teammate, and we look forward to seeing her continue to excel.”

A local talent from Medicine Hat, Pheonix is in her first year of General Studies and promises to be one of the big names in the league in the seasons ahead.

Aleksa Bijelic - Men's Soccer

Aleksa Bijelic has been one of the driving forces behind the Rattlers Men’s Soccer team this season. His vision, control, and sharp finishing helped lead the team to a 9-1 regular season record and a silver medal finish at the ACAC Championships. Bijelić’s consistency and composure in front of goal placed him tied for second in total points across the conference and second in goals with 11, making him one of the most dangerous offensive players in the league.

Hailing from Moose Jaw, Saskatchewan, Aleksa is in his first year of the Business Administration Diploma program at Medicine Hat College. His exceptional season was recognized with several major awards: ACAC South Player of the Year, ACAC South Rookie of the Year, ACAC All-Conference, and CCAA Men’s Soccer All-Canadian; an impressive list of achievements for a first-year athlete.

With a strong debut year behind him, Aleksa promises to be one of the standout names in ACAC soccer for years to come.
